It’s the summer of 1966, the sun is shining, and the world has much to offer. But 15-year-old Élise is struggling with problems that are simmering beneath the surface of her seemingly happy family life.
When a shocking discovery about her father drives her mother to leave the family, everyone is in disbelief.
Amid the chaos, Élise decides to take matters into her own hands and fix things herself. While her father and two brothers retreat into their own worlds, Élise tries to keep her family turmoil a secret and, in doing so, she discovers that no one around her leads a life as perfect as it may seem.
