Sarra Ryma
Sarra Ryma is a queer Algerian filmmaker and activist based in Paris. Her work aims to make visible what remains unseen and to question what is already visible. Passionate about themes such as intersectionality, migration, love, vulnerability, loneliness, the restlessness of youth, and Arab melancholy, her visual landscapes are raw, tender, and subversive. Sarra is drawn to the tension between the private and public body, particularly the representation of marginalized or invisible bodies, both in cinema and within the queer community.
