The renowned actress Céline is hired by the famous director Milan Zodowski to act in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon in a film she knows next to nothing about. When she arrives, she finds that the team consists only of a sound engineer and a recording supervisor; Milan has locked himself in a hut for “creative” work, which he does not want to leave.
Will the great director and champion of “cinéma verité” actually shoot a film with Céline, or has he lured her to the archipelago for a different reason?
“Shooting a film with little money and in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, Canada and Paris, 6000 kilometers away, is a real challenge. It requires a lot of adaptability, daily reactivity, a constant questioning of oneself - this is often uncomfortable, but it offers a great artistic freedom. To withstand all this requires a technically and artistically good team that is determined and not afraid. [...] This film is really an ‘artisanal’ film, just the way they used to be produced. A producer and a distributor who believe in it, who take risks, and a dedicated team that enjoys shooting! And probably some luck and craziness too.”
