Team
A festival thrives on the people who shape it – filmmakers, guests and our dedicated team. The Hof International Film Festival is a non-profit association and is only possible thanks to our members, employees and volunteers.
Get to know some of our colleagues; a complete overview can be found in the catalogue. New team members are always welcome – whether organizational, editorial or practical: We look forward to meeting you!

Management & Organization
The festival management and the board are responsible for all organizational tasks and form the core team of the festival. They are active throughout the year – from preparations and film selection to the festival’s implementation and final wrap-up.
Board
Selection & Programming
Our selection committee reviews all submitted films and does its best to invite the most interesting, promising, and innovative works to the festival. The team is assembled by our artistic director and works throughout the year to offer our guests the best possible program.
Programming
Once films have been selected for the program, our programming team works to create the ideal schedule. All films celebrate their German premiere at the Hof International Film Festival, and we strive to welcome as many filmmakers as possible in person. Our programming team ensures that everything runs smoothly.

HoF PLUS
Our business and supporting program consists of numerous public and invitation-only events that provide opportunities for discussion and networking. The Hof Plus team organizes these events and ensures that everything runs smoothly.
Hospitality
In Hof, the film industry comes together, and it is very important to us to welcome all interested filmmakers. Our guest services team organizes the stay of all accredited festival guests. Whether it’s questions about travel, accommodation, or tickets, we do our best to ensure a pleasant and inspiring stay.
Jury and Award Support
Numerous awards are presented as part of the festival. Our distinguished juries ensure that the most deserving individuals and films are recognized. Our jury coordination team brings together award sponsors, jury members, and filmmakers.
Driving Service
Our drivers make sure everyone gets to appointments, premieres, and hotels on time. Many of them are seasoned festival veterans who not only have plenty of great stories to tell, but also know exactly where the action is. Our drivers get around not only by bus and car, but also by rickshaw – so they need to be pretty fit.
Moderation
We celebrate cinema in all its forms: our moderators not only introduce the films and filmmakers, but also discuss them with the audience afterwards. Our supporting program also provides space for conversations about film, the industry, and current affairs – through our discussion and streaming formats.
Press & Communications
A festival can only make an impact if people hear about it. Our press team ensures that all media representatives receive information quickly and comprehensively. They support the press on site and provide materials on films and events.
Social Media
In addition to traditional media, the Hof International Film Festival is also active across social media platforms. Our social media team creates engaging content and fosters dialogue with our community.
Photography team
All premieres and festival events are documented through photography. Our team of photographers captures the events and produces images for the press, social media, the festival archive, and more.

Film Screening & Technology
More than 100 films and nearly 250 screenings – that requires a major technical and logistical effort. Our technical team ensures that every film is screened at the right time and in the best possible quality.

Advertising & Sponsorship
Even though we can count on many helping hands as an association, we also rely on financial support. Our advertising team works with sponsors and advertising partners, coordinates their presentation, and ensures effective placement.
Streaming
During the festival, we produce a wide range of live and video formats, including talks, discussions, and panels. Our streaming team plans, organizes, and delivers these formats, both technically and editorially.
Team
Our many volunteers and team members are what make the festival possible. Their valuable time needs to be coordinated carefully – that’s where our team coordinators come in, serving as the main point of contact for all questions, requests, and organizational matters.
Ticketing & Support
Where many films are screened, many tickets need to be issued. Our ticketing and support team sets up the box offices, handles ticket printing, and assists guests with all questions related to their festival visit – both on site and online via our streaming platform.
