From the Hof International Film Festival to the big screen. Haifaa al Mansour’s magnificent film MARY SHELLEY, which had its German premiere at the Home of Films 2018, will be making its way into German cinemas on 27 December 2018. Mary Shelley is young, rebellious and ready to break down all the constraints and conventions of her time. To fight for her ideas, she becomes a writer and invents, as a contribution to a literary competition, one of the most fascinating creatures in world history: Frankenstein’s monster.
