Restored Version of the Queer Classic TAXI ZUM KLO in online cinema

When it was first released 40 years ago at the 14th Hof International Film Festival, TAXI ZUM KLO, the story about an openly gay teacher from West Berlin and his sexual adventures, caused a scandal in the modest Federal Republic. Explicitly and directly, Frank Ripploh’s film was already a “hit” at the festival in 1980.

In 2010 the Hof International Film Festival showed the film once again in a retrospective. Today, TAXI ZUM KLO is rightly considered a milestone in non-heterosexual cinema from Germany. From Thursday, 16 April 2020, the digitally restored version of the queer classic will be available online at Salzgeber Club.
