Award-winning director Stanislav Mucha cools things down with his documentary WEATHER MAKERS (55th Hof International Film Festival / HOF IFF).
Impressive images that speak the language of isolation take us into the everyday lives of three completely different and, in their own way, bizarrely lovable meteorologists who eke out an existence at the Siberian weather station Khodovarikha on the edge of the Russian Arctic Ocean. Vladimir, Sasha and Alexander live in close quarters in their self-chosen vocation. "The only real place of intimacy is the outhouse," Mucha's voice, accompanied by an ever-perceptible wink, tells us.
WEATHER MAKERS kicks off its theatrical release on Thursday, 18 August 2022 with a cinema tour including a stop at the Casablanca Filmkunsttheater in Nuremberg on Saturday, 20 August 2022.
