EIGHT BROTHERS AND SISTERS go to the cinema

Against the backdrop of the current, barely comprehensible catastrophes, Christoph Weinert's EIGHT BROTHERS AND SISTERS (56th Hof International Film Festival) may be just the right (documentary) film, opening in cinemas on Thursday, 9 February 2023 by Barnsteiner Distribution.

Born between 1933 and 1943, we accompany eight siblings on their journey to their home town village. In the process, they tell us about growing up in Hinterpommern, of their flight, the former GDR, West Germany and reunification. Miraculously, they have overcome the most difficult times and are still in contact today.

After the celebrated world premiere in Hof, this incredible family story is now in theaters and on tour.
