MARIA INTO LIFE in German Cinemas

MARIA INTO LIFE, the debut of the directing duo Lauriane Escaffre and Yvonnick Muller (56th Hof International Film Festival), is about the art of new beginnings. The film opens in German theaters on Thursday, 19 January 2023. Distributor: Atlas Film

Maria is a cleaning lady and out of necessity takes a job at the renowned Parisian art school Académie des Beaux-Arts. She doesn't yet know how much her life will change as a result.

"It's not a spectacular transformation that the heroine undergoes, but one or two small steps toward a fuller life, portrayed with a lot of humor. That's what makes the film by directing duo Lauriane Escaffre and Yvo Muller so endearing and believable."
