HoF Filmtage Rendezvous in Hanover with SCATTERED SUNSHINE

On Wednesday, 27 November 2024, at 7:30 pm, the HoF Filmtage Rendezvous will take place at the KoKi cinema Hanover, featuring a surprise film "fresh from the fest." The event will showcase the Friedrich Baur Gold Award-winning feature film SCATTERED SUNSHINE (58th Hof International Film Festival/HoF IFF) by Lucas Dülligen. Joining Wiebke and Johannes Thomsen, the leadership duo of KoKi, as guests will be the director himself and Thorsten Schaumann, HoF IFF’s Artistic Director.

The film centers on David, a young addict who decides to leave his rehab clinic and return to a life of excess. His escape becomes a rebellion against the meaninglessness of existence, defying all obstacles and supposed rescue attempts.

From the laudatio by Hans Steinbichler, juror and mentor at the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts: “The means of this film and the precision of their use, the form of cinematic narrative, the attitude of not chewing the viewer over, but showing him the world of David in the precision of the smallest things, are a great promise for the future of director Lucas Dülligen.”
