Dinamita
The film follows Dina Stars and Adriano ComePizza, who are among the first generation of YouTubers in Cuba. Like their peers all over the world, they are enthusiastic about fashion, music, and technology. Raising their voices via digital media, they want to participate in their country’s social transformation. After Dina experiences an attempted sexual assault, she begins to dedicate her channel to women’s rights issues. Her political activism, however, provokes repercussions when Cuba experiences the biggest anti-government protests in decades.

Born in 1980 in Kirchheimbolanden. Studied Social Anthropology and Film Studies at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and at the Freie Universität Berlin, followed by Directing at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin. Active as a director and instructor.

Paola Calvo
Born in 1981 in Caracas/Venezuela. Studied Audiovisual Communication at the Complutense University of Madrid and Film Studies at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin. Active as a director and cinematographer.
