Tokyo Shaking
Tokyo, March 11, 2011, a tsunami devastates the coast of Japan and the Fukushima nuclear power plant is threatened with destruction.
Alexandra, who recently started working for a French bank in Tokyo, is experiencing this crisis first-hand. Torn between orders from above and the desire to protect her family and co-workers, Alexandra attempts to deal with the situation, and in the process, she finds herself almost obliged to defend a certain concept of honor.

“Without wishing to, Alexandra becomes something of a heroine. Because her superiors have no values, she needs to develop them herself. She had never considered such issues before, but had simply functioned as a 'good soldier'. Now, the attitudes of others force her to take a stand: the cowardice of her boss and his secretary, as well as the idealistic hopes placed in Alexandra by the Japanese staff and the intern Amani. Anxious not to disappoint them, she decides to stay, and develops the sense of responsibility she lacked in the past.”
