LE PARAPLUIE GREC in memory of Kai Maria Steinkühler

Filmmakers Kai Maria Steinkühler and Markus Mischkowski are the absolute cult. Since 1995, the congenial team has been working on the so-called “Cologne Westend Cycle”. With their own company Westendfilme they produced various short and long films for this purpose, in which they always played the leading roles, wrote the script and directed. Kai Maria Steinkühler died unexpectedly in January at the age of only 53.

Many of the Westend productions had their world premieres at the Hof International Film Festival. We fondly remember their cinema debut: WESTEND. This includes the short film LE PARAPLUIE GREC, which was celebrated at the 50th Hof International Film Festival.
