MR. CINEMA at the Capitol Cinema in Plauen

On Monday, 13 September 2021, the first HoF Home of Films Rendezvous after the summer break will take place at 7:30 pm. This is a premiere, because for the first time the Capitol cinema Plauen is the host with the kind support of VR Bank Bayreuth-Hof eG in Vogtland. We are pleased to welcome filmmaker Matthias Ditscherlein for this occasion with his documentary » KINOMANN (World Premiere Hof International Film Festival 2020):

Helmut Göldner (75) lives in the small town of Sieglitz, somewhere in Saxony-Anhalt. He is the longest-serving mobile projectionist. The film tells of love and passion for what one does and what that love and passion does to a family. And about Helmut Göldner, the Superman, whose powers, in his opinion, never end and must never end, because after him, there is no one left.

Since 2017, the Hof International Film Festival has been organizing the HoF Rendezvous under the motto “let’s do it again” at the Central Cinema in Hof and at the Lodderbast in Hanover, and now for the first time at the Capital Cinema in Plauen. These are screenings organized throughout the year as part of the Hof International Film Festival. The filmmakers also present their films in person. By doing this, we allow the festival to have further impact and increase the anticipation for the next festival edition. And at the same time, the filmmakers are promoted once again through our communication channels.

The Filmtage Rendezvous at the Capitol Cinema in Plauen takes place with the kind support of VR Bank Bayreuth-Hof eG in Vogtland.

The 55th Hof International Film Festival will again be held as a dual festival this year. This means physical screenings in the cinema in accordance with valid hygiene regulations from 26-31 October 2021. In addition, films can be accessed digitally from their German premiere in the cinema until 7 November 2021.
