Constantin Hatz' DISTURBANCE in the cinemas

Constantin Hatz' documentary drama DISTURBANCE (57th Hof International Film Festival) opens in cinemas on Thursday, 30 November 2023. The filmmaker, who always takes his audience on unusual screen journeys, tells a very personal in his latest film.

In 2015, the director's best friend committed suicide. Having fled the Yugoslav wars as a child and never fully arrived in his new homeland, he wrote “notes about his existence” for years. Based on these extensive and intimate recordings, an extraordinary concept film was created. With an ensemble of amateurs and actors, it focuses on the escape experiences and search for identity in five episodes.
