HoF 1987: Director Percy Adlon at the 21st Hof International Film Festival

On 10 March 2024, director, producer and author Paul Rudolf Parsifal Adlon, known as Percy Adlon, passed away at the age of 88.

The history of the Hof International Film Festival (HoF IFF) is inseparably linked to Percy Adlon and his filmmaking. The year 1987, for example, is unforgettable, when Percy presented his later worldwide success and cult film OUT OF ROSENHEIM (BAGDAD CAFÉ) with the leading actresses and actors Marianne Sägebrecht, CCH Pounder as well as Jack Palance at the 21st HoF IFF. In 1991, Percy Adlon presented SALMONBERRIES (25th HoF IFF) and in 1993 YOUNGER AND YOUNGER (27th HoF IFF).

"I have always bundled several small talents that are not enough for one big one and put them together to make a filmmaker."
