    On Thursday, November 21, 2024, the German Short Film Award will be presented in Hamburg. Among the nominees in the category “fiction with a runtime of more than 10 minutes but up to 30 minutes” is FIRE DRILL by Maximilian Villwock, which had its world premiere at the 58th Hof International Film Festival.

    Each year, the German government honors outstanding achievements in short film production with the German Short Film Award. It is the most prestigious award for short films in Germany. Winning the Short Film Award includes a designated prize of €30,000, while a nomination comes with €15,000. The prize for the best medium-length film amounts to €20,000.
