Veit Helmer's GONDOLA, which celebrated its highly acclaimed European premiere at the 57th Hof International Film Festival, opens on Thursday, 07 March 2024 in cinemas.
The film tells the story of two gondola drivers in the Georgian mountains, excellently portrayed by Nini Soselia and Mathilde Irrmann, who meet several times a day while crossing their gondolas. In the process, they fall in love. GONDOLA is a romantic comedy of the truly "Helmerian" kind, as the film dispenses entirely with dialogue.
