On Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 7:30 PM, the premiere of RABIA – THE LOST DREAM (58th Hof International Film Festival 2024/Alpenrepublik Distribution) will take place at City Kino Munich. HoF’s Artistic Director will moderate a discussion with director Mareike Engelhardt, actresses Klara and Maria Wördemann (both 2019 first time in HoF in Nadine Keil’s short film I LOVE EVERYTHING I HATE ABOUT YOU), co-producer Wasiliki Bleser as well as producer Nina Spilger from Starhaus. The film will be released in German cinemas on Thursday, January 23, 2024.
Additionally, the two German co-producers, Wasiliki Bleser and Nina Spilger from Starhaus, will be guests on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 12:30 PM for Schaumann's Lunch Break via Instagram Live.
RABIA tells the poignant story of two young French women, Jessica and Laïla, who believed they could find respect, recognition, and maybe even personal happiness in the Islamic State. They must pay a high price for this mistake. The award-winning film is based on real events.
