An agreeable family man with Iranian roots and a professor of Islamic studies. One asks the other to engage in a conversation about faith and disbelief, good and evil, and the question of whether the commandments of the Koran are compatible with violence.
What begins as a seemingly harmless discussion evolves into a mental showdown when the professor realizes that his visitor is planning an attack—and already preparing the bomb.

“What would it mean for our society if you couldn’t prove that the Koran, and thus God Himself, forbids the use of violence? Do we have to restrict others’ beliefs if they threaten our way of life? Are we not presuming to know better than the Almighty? Is Martin a madman, a bloodthirsty reformer, or the distorted mirror of modern man abandoned by God?
Nothing is certain, nothing is as it seems in this intimate drama that asks urgent questions about hate and reconciliation, the causes of radicalization, mutual respect, and a world with and without God.”
