In a small Kyrgyz village, where conservative traditions confine women to domestic roles, activist Gazi defies the status quo by organizing a women's football tournament. As she works to empower the women and break societal taboos, she faces cultural resistance. The film reveals how sports — the purest expression of joy and freedom — can become a powerful tool for resisting oppression and promoting gender equality even in the most rigidly traditional setting.

“We were struck by the transformative power of sport. Through football, Gazi and the women of Kök-Tash find a voice that defies expectations and fosters social change. As they train and compete, they discover strength, self-worth, and community. This is a story of defiance, love, and women refusing to be confined by societal roles. The film demonstrates how a simple game can challenge societal pressures, assert rights, and inspire change. We hope their journey will encourage others to believe in the possibility of transformation, no matter the obstacles.”
