THE GAME with a film talk at the Werkstattkino

On Friday, 14 January 2022 at 5:30 p.m., the documentary film THE GAME: GAMBLING BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH by Manuela Federl will be shown at the Werkstattkino München. Afterwards, the artistic director of the Hof International Film Festival, Thorsten Schaumann, will hold an audience discussion with the director (further screening on Monday, 17 January 2022 at 6:00 pm):

The film tells the story of Manuela and her friend Bernd, who only wanted to help out in an aid transport to Bosnia. Once there, they realize: It's all about THE GAME, the illegal passage across the EU's external border. The two quickly realize that an aid transport is not enough. They throw themselves into the work, get to know many refugees and talk to them about their reasons for fleeing, life in Bosnia and accompany them on their GAME. But they also deal with human traffickers, secretly distribute food at night and meet refugee opponents.
