We say goodbye to Roland Reber

The actor, author, director and long-time friend of the Hof International Film Festival Roland Reber left us on 11.09.2022. He always implemented his ideas with inspiring enthusiasm and completely independently. At the Film Days we celebrated incredible world premieres - from 24/7 PASSION OF LIFE (39th IHF 2005) to ROLAND REBER'S TODESREVUE (53rd IHF 2019) - and not only that: He has already staged at the theater in Hof.

Whether a ride on a motorcycle to the cinema or as a polonaise through the city center of Hof, Roland Reber and his Landsberg film community were a guarantee for entertainment. His films take you into human abysses with a wink. Now the rebel has left us for life. The 3Sat magazine kinokino honors Roland in its latest issue with its own contribution. The interactive book he wrote psst... Lyrik und Prosa von und mit Roland Reber will be published posthumously on 11.11.2022 and even includes texts read by Roland Reber himself, partly in Palatinate dialect. Dear Roland, rest in peace.
