AND GENTLY FLOWS THE RHINE: Talk in Munich‘s Monopol

On Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 6:30 pm, AND GENTLY FLOWS THE RHINE (55th Hof International Film Festival) by Volker Klotzsch and Oliver Matthes will be screened in the series MittDOKs-Delikatessen at the Monopol cinema in Munich (tickets here). The screening will be followed by a discussion with the audience and co-director Volker Klotzsch hosted by the artistic director of the Filmtage, Thorsten Schaumann.

On the last evening before her gender reassignment surgery, Caroline finally thinks she is on the side of happiness. As the hospital settles down for the night, she says goodbye to her old self and feels happy for the first time in her life. Weeks later, her father is dying.
