SCHLEIMKEIM wins German Documentary Film Award

Congratulations to Jan Heck and his team on winning the "German Documentary Film Award in the category Music 2024" for SCHLEIMKEIM - OTZE AND THE GDR FROM UNDER GROUND. Jan Heck's first feature-length documentary SCHLEIMKEIM has come a long way since its celebrated world premiere at the 57th Hof International Film Festival. Arsenal Filmverleih acquired the German rights on location in Hof and released it in cinemas on 14 March 2024. So far 15,000 moviegoers saw the film!

The German Documentary Film Award is considered one of the most important awards for German-language documentaries. It is sponsored in equal parts by public broadcaster Südwestrundfunk (SWR) and Medien- und Filmgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg (MFG).
