The retrospective of the 49th Hof International Film Festival is dedicated to the British filmmaker, artist and writer Christopher Petit.
The festival will screen a special presentation of Düzen Tekkal’s HÁWAR which recapitulates, with evocative moments, the genocide of the Yazidi.
From Mars, to Earth, and beneath its crust.
A strong program with 28 films: music films, artist portraits and films dealing with the current situation in the world
The films of the 49th Hof International Film Festival present a range of themes: moving and emotional stories which deal with contemporary questions, explain sociopolitical contexts, peer into the construct of the family, report on uprooting, chart life in different cultures, describe the problems of puberty, and of friendship, love and the courage to embrace change.
The journalist and Filmtage staff member, who died in 2013, captured his festival impressions in many photographs.
