Our Home of Films was born in 1967 with short films. We’re celebrating this with a short film evening at the next HoF Rendezvous on Saturday, 27 February 2021 at 7:00 pm. We will meet up again with four exciting talents from the last Hof International Film Festival in the virtual Central Kino Hof under the motto “Genre meets Social Comedy”:
In ACCEPT, Manuel Klavers tells the story of a girl who is pursued by menacing figures. In WE DELIVER A SMILE by Magdalena Lauritsch, the deliveryman Karim gets into trouble. Marijana Verhoef's short film BODY is about a mysterious creature who lives with a lonely old widow. EXHIBITION by Sylvia Borges is the story of an exhibitionist who fights for attention.
After the official film talk, we will again continue non-live with an informal talk for everyone. For Clubhouse users, there will again be a 15-minute pre-screening talk with the filmmakers and artistic director Thorsten Schaumann before the screening at 5:30 pm.
The screening is free of charge, but of course there is the possibility to buy a donation ticket with a freely selectable amount. All proceeds will go to the rights holders in equal parts. Our thanks go to our Rendezvous supporters: Central Kino-Hof, Rotary Club Hof and » Kino on Demand.
Since 2017, the Hof International Film Festival has been organizing the HoF Rendezvous under the motto “let’s do it again” at the Central Kino in Hof and the Lodderbast in Hanover. These are screenings organized throughout the year as part of the Hof International Film Festival. The filmmakers also present their films in person. By doing this, we allow the festival to have further impact and increase the anticipation for the next festival edition. And at the same time, the filmmakers are promoted once again through our communication channels.
Currently, the HoF Rendezvous takes place with the support of the Rotary Club Hof as well as Kino on Demand in the virtual Central Kino online and live with an audience chat. These screenings are free of charge (geo-blocking for Germany) and the audience has the possibility to buy a donation ticket with an individually selectable amount. The proceeds go entirely to the rights holders.
